Hi Munciboi,

Plans for two anemometer masts went in to Wychavon DC last Friday (23/01/09), they actually went in before Christmas, though Wychavon District Council asked for more information, so they had to be re-submitted before they could be lodged.

Details of the applications can be obtained from Wychavon’s website.

For details
go here: http://wychavon.whub.org.uk/home/wdc-planning-app-idox.htm?appNumber=W/08/03234/pn

and here: http://wychavon.whub.org.uk/home/wdc-planning-app-idox.htm?appNumber=W/08/03235/pn

Public consultation?
It'll follow the usual planning process, so it'll be the usual site posters etc, links to the website, Parish Council etc.

Regarding the main application, Wychavon DC do not do a formal public consulation, it is treated as any other application, though SPR will need to. according to SPR's timescales, (main application June/July 09) from SPR's comments, we would expect them to do another round of 'drop-in' sessions during May, which will include the results of their Environmental Impact Assessment.

If you want to have an input let us know, admin @ stoplenchwickwindfarm.org.uk and we will take your comments on board.

In the meantime VVASP will be keeping local people much more informed via this website.

Have any plans actually been submitted to Wychavon DC yet?

If so, when's the public consultation process and how long will the feasibility study take?

Thanks.

Many thanks for your comments, until recently it was difficult to put a 'contact us' section on the site, because we were a 'loose' collection of individuals, we now have a formal constitution and chairman, I will post these details within the next few days.

As someone who lived for nearly 20 years about 15 miles away from the eastern part of this site, I was appalled to learn of the proposal (by accident). However, I would echo Emyr Griffiths' comments above, you need a "Contact Us" link on the website. Key dates for submissions for comment to Wychavon are also needed.

Good luck!

We are anti-windfarm campaigners from the wilds of Wales. How can we contact you to supply you with more links, info and photos? I can't find a "Contact Us" link on your web site.

Hi I am a member of a wind farm opposition group in Staffordshire. We are opposing three turbines that are planned by Harworth Power (UK Coal) who have now teamed up with Peel Energy. They are proposing to place the turbines a few metres away from a SSSI, 1250 m away from an AONB and just over 500 m away from the nearest house. Your petition for a buffer zone is an excelent idea have you contacted Renewable Energy Foundation who are trying for a similiar thing? See also Peterboroughtoday.co.uk/news/whittlesey re the Whittlesey turbine which is just 125 m away from the nearest home.
Your web site is very good - much better than ours, but we are working on it!
Re the ice shards there were also some shed from a turbine last week in Whittlesey, Cambridgeshire. I don't know if it is the same turbine that is also causing the noise problems! Another very useful website is Caithness especially their update incident/accident information.
Kind Regards
