After the fantastic turnout at each of the three drop-in sessions, a number of people asked ‘How can I help?’ or ‘What should I do?’

Probably the most important thing that you can do RIGHT NOW, as a matter of urgency, is to write to the key parties involved, the District Council Planners, ScottishPower Renewables, and your District Councillor(s), expressing your feelings on the proposed windfarm.

The reason for this is so that your views are clearly known and registered BEFORE the Environmental Impact Assesment (EIA) is submitted by ScottishPower Renewables.

By doing so you will giving them a clear mandate, the District Councillors are your elected representative to manage where you live in accordance with your wishes – they need to know your views, so that they can act in accordance with them!

Let them know that you understand and support the need for renewable energy, and that it is important to ensure the appropriate technology is chosen for the appropriate environment and that the Vale of Evesham is an inappropriate environment for wind turbines.

A sample letter is attached, please modify as you feel appropriate, a ‘Blank’ letter is also available so that all you have to do it to print it out 4 times, and fill in the blanks
